Nocchi Pressure Sets

The Nocchi Pressure Sets are designed to boost low pressure and flow in existing supplies, or to provide a completely self-contained supply of pressurised water from a well or reservoir without the need for header tanks and float switches.

Pressure sets are supplied ready for use complete with pressure gauge, pressure switch, 25 litre pressure tank and non return valve.

PURAPRESS

5 GPM @ 80ft Head
Max Head 45mtrs
Max suction lift 7mtrs
HP 0.8

WATERPRESS

Suitable for Larger Domestic and Small Farm Supplies.

10 GPM @ 100ft Head
Max Head 48mtrs

MULTIPRESS

The Multipress is ideal for Boosting Existing Supplies,
Extremely Quiet in Operation Making it Suitable for Indoor Installations.

20 GPM @ 100ft Head
Max Head 60mtrs

For farms, groups of houses and campsites. We recommend systems with larger pressure sets.

How do they work?

The electric pump is mounted on top of a steel pressure tank containing a rubber membrane, which is surrounded by air under pressure. The air is further compressed as water is then pumped into the membrane until a pre-set pressure is reached, at which point the pressure switch automatically turns the pump off and a non-return valve prevents the water running back. The compressed air acts as a spring which stores the pressure while the pump is not running. This store of water under pressure is available immediately.

When you use a tap (or a ball cock opens), the pump's pressure will drop and this will automatically activate the pump. The operator can adjust the pressure switch and the air pressure to suit the application.

Maintenance

Apart from the occasionally checking the air pressure, maintenance is almost negligible. The rubber membrane has a life of several years and is easily and cheaply replaced. Quiet, maintenance free induction motors are close-coupled to modern centrifugal pumps that last indefinitely in normal use.

Which one do you need?

The PURAPRESS and the WATERPRESS are based on self-priming Jet pumps. They have extremely good suction lift capabilities enabling them to draw from a water level down to 9 meters below the pump or they can be installed some distance from the source if necessary and therefore the best choice if drawing from a well or spring.

The MULTIPRESS is not self-priming but is ideal for boosting existing piped supplies or operating under flooded suction. (Although it can be used from a well with a good foot valve assembly). The MULTIPRESS is high volume and very quiet.

MODEL TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
PURAPRESS

House supply with one or two taps connected to the rising main.

  • Shower Boosting
  • Garden Watering
WATERPRESS

Higher volume and pressure for supplies to larger houses with more outlets on rising main. E.g. ensuite bathrooms, dishwashers etc.

  • Stables and small stock farms
  • Catering establishments
  • Plate coolers
  • Irrigation
MULTIPRESS

Boosting existing supplies

  • Holiday complexes
  • High capacity plate coolers
  • Laundries, etc.

All pumps are 240-volt with outlets of 1inch.

For Applications where a greater reserve of water stored under pressure is required.

(Examples: Farms, Groups of houses, Camp sites, etc.)

Pressure sets can be supplied with 100, 200, 300 and 500 litre Pressure Tanks.
