Pressure Boosting
Booster pump systems can be used to boost low pressure and flow in existing piped systems (subject to
sufficient size of inlet pipe) or to provide a direct pressurised supply from a reservoir or storage tank. The
system can be based on conventional pump and pressure vessel systems or variable speed pumps which
operate at a constant preset pressure, by adjusting the speed of the pump according to demand. The latter
are particularly recommended for unvented hot water systems. Dual pump systems with automatic back up
are available to ensure uninterrupted operation for campsites, holiday cottages etc.

Pressure tanks can be coupled to water pumps
(surface or submersible) to provide a self-contained
pressurised supply for direct connection into an
existing piped system without the need for header
tanks or float switches.
